Happy Chinese New Year!

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, PH and I decided to visit Sakae Sushi for our early “reunion” dinner.

This is what I had!

One of my favourite. Non fattening cucumber sushi.

Salmon Sashimi. As fresh as ever.

Yellow tail. I can have 5 or 6 plates in a row if money allows. =X

Guess we were on diet, the total bill came out to be $1.60 only (obviously after the rebates).

Isn’t it worth?

We will be having more “reunion dinners” at Sakae Sushi next week.

On behalf of Sakae Sushi, I hereby wish all my readers a Happy & Prosperous Chinese New Year. HUAT ah!

My usual hangout – Sakae Sushi

December – A Month of celebration.

& well, I had been to Sakae Sushi countless times.

Either alone, with friends or with cousins/ family members.

My love. With the wasabi as well as the PINK ginger and my hot green tea. Yummilicious!

That is my FAVOURITE!

Swordtail sashimi!

It has been long long time since I last ate this.

Fried mixed vege.

It’s rather filling after 1 big plate.

Tofu with Unagi.

Not fattening at all.

This is one of my many bills. I paid S$1.25 only.

HAPPY!

More sakae sushi to come in January – my birthday month. =D

Join me at Sakae Sushi!

Sakae Sushi – A place for all!

I had been dining many times at Sakae Sushi this month of November.

Once with my ex-colleague and her family of 4. The bill came up to be $160. But we only paid $50 in cash after using up my S$50 Sakae Sushi voucher and the $30 Sushi dollars in my card.

Another time was with my cousin. I used up my $20 voucher and the additional bill in cash was only $6.

Last Tuesday, I had lunch with my current colleague.

The rest would be all alone by myself. There was even once, I paid $0.85 for my meal! How cheap it was! 85 cents – I can’t even buy a slice of bread from the bakery.

My usual stuff. Unagi Chawanmushi.

The plain Inari is always a must! I love the sweet and salty combination!

The healthy Kappa. Cucumber with rice. I will not feel so sinful.

Salmon Mentai. We prefer the prawn 1 though.

Sashimi wise. My usual Kajiki. 2 plates somemore.

Tried the Nama Hotate. NICE!

The fresh Salmon. All the way from Norway, daily!

Maguro. Yummy!

Fried Tofu. Soft in the inside and crispy on the outside.

Looking forward to dine in Sakae Sushi real soon.

P/S: Pardon me for no original pictures. It was accidentally deleted from my BB before I could send it via email out. =(

My Cravings……..

It has been quite a few weeks since I last patronised Sakae Sushi. I was either very busy or SICK (duh….).

FINALLY, I managed to squeeze out some time for a decent lunch at Sakae Sushi. And thank god that I made my way to Sakae Sushi else I would have miss out the 1-for-1 red plate promotion. *PHEW*

Welcome to Sakae Sushi. That is what I’m always greeted when I am there regardless of which outlets I had visited.

My Salmon Sashimi. (A piece was gobbled down by the hungry me before the picture. =P)

My MUST HAVE Kajiki. Due to the 1-for-1 promotion, I had 2 plates. YUMMY!

Hamachi.

Looks like I had a sashimi lunch. =D

Last but not least, my Sakae Chawamushi.

I’m a happy Sakae Sushi member. =)

717 Trading – Durian Mooncake

Chanced upon the mooncake road show at Jurong Point. The one and only mooncake durian stall around.

Personally, I heard of 717 Trading because our company’s annual durian party is held there.

About 717 Trading: 717 Trading started out from a small stall in a market in Ponggol in 1973, selling only a few baskets of durians and some other fruits a day. The variety of fruits might be limited but in order to ensure the best quality, the founder, Mr Goh Kwee Leng self-picked all of them. This built the reputation of 717 Trading. Since then, 717 Trading started to be involved with fruits trading. Their first fruit durian store was along Upper Serangoon Road. Mr Goh believed that, “Honesty is our main priority to customer. He would rather not sell the durians than to lose a customer’s trust”. The company has lived on this motto till today. 717 Trading then started to diversify its focus into durian pastries specializations. From a small production area at Highland Centre, to a food factory at Kampong Ampat, the company had moved on to resettling our factories in Changi Prison. With the new factory facilities, 717 Trading ensures that the qualities of our products are not compromised and they constantly improve the way they work to serve their customers better each time.

I bought a box of durian mooncakes in 9 and 2 durian pudding. Due to my diet, I don’t think it’s advisable to consume them. =( What a spoilt sport I am.

My dad has eaten them. He said, “It’s heavenly.”

Well, guess, it’s not a bad choice. =)

In preparing the mooncake festival, 717 Trading are holding road shows all over Singapore. Do check the durian mooncakes out.

I am PROUD to be a Sakae Sushi Member!

Ever since I join Cenosis, I had been eating out at Sakae Sushi almost once a week.

& well, today I had my lunch at Sakae Sushi Park Mall.

My standard sashimi, Kajiki. Instead of a salmon sashimi, I ordered a Maguro.

Well, it was lunch. I was still entitled to eat some carbo. So I had a plain Inari.

This is considered one of my favourite. I have no idea why too. @_@

I was still hungry by then, so I took a 6 small pieces of Japanese cucumber sushi.

Well, that was my lunch.

And GUESS WHAT? I spent $38 to join as a Sakae Sushi member since I patronise Sakae Sushi so often. The card has a $28 sakae dollars = SGD$28. A free-a-red-plate voucher will be given to you. From then, you are entitled a 10% discount and also free green tea. Not only that, during the month of your birthday, you are given a $20 voucher. How worth it is! So what are you waiting for? Join them as a member now.

Can’t wait to be Saturday. I am going to Sakae Sushi again! =)

Sakae Sushi – My favourite Japanese Restaurant

Ever since I am on diet, I keep having cravings for Japanese Sashimi.
Luckily, I have Sakae Sushi to curb my cravings.

I love their Kajiki. Fresh and at a reasonable price. It’s a must have when I visit Sakae Sushi.

I like their Salmon too.
Inari – my favourite sushi. Plain but nice. Yummilicious!
Now I am craving for sushi again! =_( Maybe I shall lunch at Sakae Sushi tomorrow afternoon and indulge in my sashimi platter.

My dinner, Tan Tan Ramen. It was good. Not very spicy. But the egg was disappointed. It wasn't a problem if the egg was not included in the ramen and I had to pay additional charges for it. But the tamago came excactly like those hard boiled eggs that you’d expect to see in a bowl of laksa available in your neighbourhood coffee shop, and it tasted just like them.

I had the salmon sashimi as well but it tasted just as normal as the normal salmon sashimi I had. Price? $18, which was considered kind of steep.

The servers were friendly, which is considered a plus point.

I would consider going back. Especially during lunch time.
