Like all children, Ron was an active and mischievous child. Growing up, he was highly affected by his sister’s love for dancing. Hence, he decided to take a risk and turn his hobbies into his career. In 1999, he enrolled into TVB’s 7th Entry Dancers Class, taking his first step into the entertainment circle.Even after Ron transformed from a dancer into an actor, he still remembers his roots as he visiting the dancing classes while filming. His past dancer colleagues recalled, “The most memorable time for me was Ron’s last night as a dancer when he broke into tears.” Ron responded that one of the female instructors came over and encouraged me to continue to well and don’t embarrassed the dancing classes. He was touched and ensured her to not worry. To Ron, dancing classes has taught him to respect team effort and work together to success. He felt that what he learned from dancing is useful as an actor as well.
Ron Ng graduated from TVB's "7th Entry" Dance Training Class in 1999 and "1st Entry" Artist Training Class in 2000. Officially becoming a TVB artist after signing a contract with the company in 2000, Ron has worked with TVB ever since. His acting skills have been heavily criticized, especially those which require Ron to cry.
In 2000, Ron’s actor career commenced as Louis Koo recommended him to enlist in the acting classes. After graduating from acting classes, Ron’s acting career did not shoot to the top immediately. He began with small, minor roles, but he did not falter because he knew that every actor goes through the same process. While portraying his minor roles, Ron worked hard and waited for his time to shine with a breakthrough role.
“When I filmed my first series, I realized how demanding and hard being an actor is. I was always tired because I wasn’t used to it. I remembered that I had one hour of sleep in four days. I told my mother, and she cried.” Ron questioned himself and actually thought about quitting. However, he is now used to this working style because he knew that every actor goes through the same hardships at first.
“When I first began acting, I would stare at the script and memorize every line, word-for-word.” However, through one scene with Francis, Ron learned that to portray a character, he does not need to memorize the script verbatim. Francis taught Ron that as long as he knows the concept of the scene, it doesn’t matter how the script is delivered, as long as the main message is expressed.
Despite the criticisms and rumors circulating Hong Kong tabloids, Ron has won himself a large fan-base in Hong Kong through his handsome appearance. He was one of the four TVB actors selected to be the spokespeople of the 2006 World Cup. Besides Ron, the four chosen ones were Raymond Lam, Kevin Cheng and Bosco Wong.
When Ron first learned that smiling is a necessity as an artiste, he began to practice with a mirror at home. “At first, when I look at myself trying to smile, I laugh at myself for not knowing how to smile.” Ron expressed that he tries to think of times when he naturally smiles, such as with his friends at a party.
Through “Twin of Brothers”, Ron not only won an award, but he also gained a friendship with a fellow actor named Raymond Lam. According to Ron, “The reason I think filming ‘Twin of Brothers’ was so fun and care-free is because both Raymond and I understand one another. When a scene is Raymond’s time to shine, I’ll let him go. However, when it’s my time to shine, he let’s me go.”
Raymond’s Thoughts on His Friendship with Ron “Whilst filming ‘Twin of Brothers’, both Ron and I discussed that even after filming, we want to keep this friendship because it’s hard to keep true friendships within the entertainment circle.” Raymond and Ron both have similar views in that even with competition, both can be successful as long as they know what they want to do with their career and future.
Over the five years as an actor, Ron’s career has influenced him as he turned from an active, wild young man to a more quiet, reserved young man. Ron expressed, “Because of the style of this career, I slowly evolved from a wild, active personality to a rather more reserved and quiet one.” Ron felt that when it’s his time off, he enjoys the free time to himself so he can philosophize and do some of his hobbies, such as bonzai, taking care of fish, and enjoying different types of tea.
After his transition from dancer to television actor in 2000, Ron was featured in minor roles until later. His breakout role was that of Issac in the 2003 TVB drama series Triumph in the Skies, which gained him his popularity with the audience. Ron unexpectedly won TVB's Most Improved Actor Award in 2004 even with his marginal performance in the drama Twin of Brothers at the 37th TVB Anniversary Awards.
Ron was also featured in the movie Moments Of Love in 2005. In the same year, he signed a contract with BMA Music Records and out came his first EP album, The Fast Pass. Ron also released his first album, Fast Forward
Upon hearing his name for the “Most Improved Actor” award in 2004 for the series, “Twin of Brothers”, Ron Ng, a rising star in TVB, felt completely surprised because he never expected to win anything as an actor–all he thought of was to continue to improve as an artiste. When people questioned him of his surprised reaction, he voiced out and said, “There were so many competitors, I really think I was going to win.”

The memories of Jay Chou's Nanjing concert are still fresh, at the time while he was at having a concert in Laining, Jay Chou rode on a show boat on the Qinhuai River on the 18th at 10, from there he observed the beautiful view of the Qinhuai River. Before the little vacation on 1st of May, the "Treasure" show boat has already been renamed to "Jay", it sets sail officially on the 1st of May, besides having plenty of pictures of Jay decorated inside, you are accompanied by "Jay".
Yesterday the reporters had a first look, in fact that "Treasure" show boat that Jay Chou sat on has been renamed, on the front of the boat is the two words "Jie Lun", it's very eye catching. According to the introduction of the staff member, this boat is wider than average boats by half a metre, on the sides it has brightly coloured wooden dragons, the boat is made from wood, overhanging railings, classical and elegant. The facilities inside are very intricate, red wooden chairs, a tea table. At the front of the boat there's a karaoke you can play songs on, at the back there's a sanitation area. It's an expensive guest boat, it's not easy to get this boat out, they only provide it for important leaders, and last time when Jay Chou went on the Qinhuai River he sat on this very boat.
The most unique things about "Jay" is there's a big paper model of Jay at the same scale version, it sits where Jay sat with a big smile, on the tea table in front there's the Zhuangyuan Beans and the Yuhuacha tea Jay Chou tried. Apparently, this "model" can be provided to tourists to take pictures.

There's another rumour going around that Jay Chou's got a new girlfriend? Chinese website Sohu reported, "Last week Jay Chou goes to Hong Kong to secretly film MV bring along his mother and new girlfriend, he is photographed by the press shopping for pyjamas with his new girlfriend", and this female model is Wang Si Ping, she was in Jay Chou's MV for "Sunshine Homeboy", coincidentally she is also the junior high school classmate of Jiang Yu Chen who was also rumoured to be with Jay Chou, Wang Si Ping yesterday expressed: "I'm not Jay Chou's new girlfriend, I'm only a model he hired."

Wang Si Ping found it very funny to suddenly gain the title of Jay Chou's "new girlfriend" for no reason, she stressed she only went to film the MV, she is only friends with Jay Chou in terms of work. As to her impression of Jay Chou, she smiled saying: "I admire his talent, he's very funny, and he can do magic. His songs are very good and as a person he's super nice."
Asked whether or not there was any chance of further progression with Jay Chou? Wang Si Ping revealed that at present she has a boyfriend who is older than her by 3 years and they have been together for 4 years, their relationship is very stable, her boyfriend knows she came to Hong Kong to film Jay Chou's MV, he was not jealous. Wang Si Ping explained, due to the fact that on the day the stylist did not bring enough clothes and they needed home wear, that's the reason why they were filmed buying pyjamas together.
Wang Si Ping said, she was classmates with Jiang Yu Chen at Jieshou Junior High School, they knew each other very well before, but now due to the fact Jiang Yu Chen is very busy with work they talk less, there has been rumours that Jay Chou gave Jiang Yu Chen a BMW car, Wang Si Ping expressed: "That was bought for her by Yu Chen's grandfather."

Ever since I started to love like Jay Chou whole-heartedly, I came to realise more and more of my friends (be it whose friends) look like Jay Chou.
I wonder, does Jay have a common face?
I wonder, does Jay have a twin brother?
I wonder, does Jay have lookalike cousins?
I wonder…………………………..
Anyhow, based on the 3 pictures below, who do you think look like Jay most?
Mr "Joycey's bf". Real name unknown. Correct me if I am wrong. Mr Timothy? & sorry, he isn't available anymore.
Mr Soon. Availability? Unknown. I hope, he is.
Anyhow, no questions pertaining to him will be answered.
Mr Shamus Seow. I prefer to call him "Ah Boy". Another Jay fan, of cos. I met him once at Causeway Point Mac to pick up my white suit Jay Jay figurine. At once, I noticed him. Cos he does have the earlier days Jay look. Nevertheless, not forgetting his "Jay's attitude".
Now, the ball is in your court.
Tell me who looks like Jay most?
My choice? Hmmmmm….. Let's be fair. I will tell you guys later.
