I want to go Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall

Extracted from www.wanqingyuan.com.sg

Wan Qing Yuan(晚 晴园) was built in late 19th Century. The villa was bought by rubber magnate Teo Eng Hock for his mother, Mdm Tan Poh Neo. A fervent supporter of the Chinese revolutionary cause, Teo Eng Hock later offered the place to Dr Sun for his revolutionary activities in February 1906. After the success of the 1911 Revolution, Wan Qing Yuan was subsequently entrusted to the then Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce (now Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCCI).
In December 1964, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce revamped the villa to commemorate Dr Sun and his revolutionary movement. The project was completed in 1965 and the villa became
Dr Sun Yat Sen Villa.
After Dr Sun Yat Sen Villa was gazetted a national monument in 1994 by the Preservation of Monuments Board, the SCCCI renamed the villa as
Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall in 1996 to trace Dr Sun’s revolutionary activities in the Southeast Asian region. A subsidiary company, Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall Co Ltd, was set up in 1997 to spearhead the restoration project.
A restoration team was formed under the initiative of Mr Kwek Leng Joo, Immediate Past President of SCCCI. Led by Mr Kwek personally and comprising five committees sharing the same vision, the team planned and implemented over four years to transform the villa into a memorial hall.
After four years of restoration works and funding amounting more than $8 million, the Memorial Hall was completed in October 2001. On 12 November 2001, it was officially opened by Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew.

Anyone keen in going? I should be heading there next week?

Goodbye again!

Goodbye Singapore.

Hello Penang.

I will be back on Sunday.

Goodbye Phuket.

Good bye Phuket!

Hello Singapore! =_(

I had a fun birthday trip.

Suntanning at the beach, reading a book and drinking tons of beer is seriously called LIFE!

& well, I came back with something new again. =X

It’s the upgraded version of my previous star.

Cheap. & I guess it’s nicer?

My birthday gift to myself. =)

Goodbye Singapore

Phuket, here we come on a Saturday morning.

Goodbye Singapore for now!

& a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

=)

KL – Day 4

Our last day in KL.
Treasured that last few hours.

Randomly found an eatery.

Bat Ku Teh was sold out despite we were there like 11am.

Century eggs. Not as good as the ones we had at Yung Kee (HK).

My 鸡丝河粉 which was obviously not fantastic. Or rather, I was hungry. @_@ I left a huge portion of the noodles left.

Tammy’s congee.

A mix platter to share. But it wasn’t as good as the one we had at Restaurant Overseas.

Thank god that we had lunch here. We found a store that sold local products as well as my 贵妃肉 – BBQ Pork.

We didn’t go far. Shopped at Sungei Wang for the rest of that few hours. “Rotted” at a cafe and the hotel cafe for the remaining 2 hours.

At about 3 plus in the noon, we headed to the airport.

The sky didn’t look inviting. @_@

Best of all, we went to the wrong airport. All along, we thought that KL has only 1 airport, which is KLIA. Oh well, we then found out that KL has 3 airports, Sapang where Firefly is, KLIA, the high class airport & LCCT, the budget terminal. *Phew* Luckily, we didn’t miss our flight.

Marrybrown at LCCT.

Is it Marry Brown or Mary Brown?

There, our 4D3N at KL.

Fruitful trip, least I met my CY Bro.

KL, I will be back, but not so soon.

KL – Day 3

We woke up, just in time for Restaurant Oversea. The “MUST EAT”, as recommended by Tammy’s boss, Mr Chong and my Boss. I bet it’s a really MUST EAT!

The platter of Roasted Pork, Char Siew & Duck Meat. I heart the Char Siew & Roasted Pork. Yummilicious.

Their fried tofu. Crispy on the outside but soft in the inside.

Our additional order of 1/4 chicken.

Guess the bill? RM100.50. & thank you Tammy for the treat. =D

After such a heavy meal, we actually spent 15 mins walking to Pavilion – one of KL’s newest shopping mall.

The beautiful fountain & the nice Christmas decoration.

We actually walked from Pavilion to Lot 10, which made me disappointed (10 years ago, Lot 10 wasn’t like that. @_@) We continued our journey to Sungei Wang, back to hotel to place our stuff. Rested our feet & we headed out to Bejaya Time Square aka the hotel cum shopping mall my cousins were staying.

The largest amusement park which is indoor? The roller coaster was kind of gross. Over my dead body will I actually take a ride. =/

The kiddo portion of the amusement park.

We rushed for a quickie dinner as our colleague, Ally & friend, Samuel would be picking us up at 9pm to go chill out.

The MUST HAVE 猪血。We continually ate for 3 days. -_-”

The herbal 板面 which I didn’t finish except for the soup. =X

Our 1st tower of beer.

Before: Restaurant before 9pm.

After: Disco after 9pm. What a quick transformation! Impressive!

The 4 babes of the night!!!!!

Tammy & I continued our 2nd round at a KTV pub next to our hotel.

Quite similar to our Boat Quay right?

I like their way of placing the mic. It’s more hygiene and easier to locate them.

Our night ended with more beer……….

& just some shopping. 1 for me, 1 for BB Alex & 1 for BB Jamie.

Our last night at KL.

KL – Day 1

Arrived at KL LCCT Airport at 8.35pm. At about 10pm, we reached Capitol Hotel.
The main door of our lobby. The smoke explained that I was taking a puff. =X
The though small yet clean toilet. We weren’t fussy.
Our beds. Ms Chew was busy unpacking as we were heading out.
Good choice. Despite 3 stars, we didn’t encounter BB roaches “sharing” the same room with us (unlike my cousin who stayed in a 4 stars hotel. -_-”)
Zouk KL. Mambo Jambo on a Wednesday night.
The ever best combination. Beer + cigar.
So WHY we cannot smoke in clubs in Singapore?????
How wasted!
Smoking in a club is like heaven.

Proofs of us at KL Zouk.

Mambo Jambo @ KL Zouk. Happening not?

Why Singapore hasn’t sell this? It’s super nice to puff. =D

Bye Bye Zouk KL. We will be back soon.

At 4am, we knocked out, together with Mr Piggy and Sunshine Bear.

2010: I’m so looking forward…..

I’m so looking forward to 2010……..

I will be on jet planes, in celebration of my 30th (tsk tsk) birthday and to seek inner peace & do some “soul searching”.

Phuket & Penang, here I come.

Looking forward to Penang. After all, it’s my virgin solo trip. G Hotel, I’m back!

Good bye again!

GOOD BYE!

I’m off for a short trip again.

Will blog when I am back.

The huge day bed.

Caters for family.

Partying?

Then opt for this “sofa”.

Great for groups of 8 and above.

We opt for this.

It’s so “cafe-del-mar” like.

Need a beer?

Order from the pool bar!!!!!

Holidays are for us to rest, relax and recharge.

Hence, we need a massage.

Danai Spa is what G Hotel offers.

I opted for the traditional aroma massage while Michelle chose the herbal pouch massage.

RM150 for 90 mins.

Indeed, it’s worth!

We were relieved and relax.

Breakfast at Executive Lounge.

Which I felt exclusivity!

G Cafe.

Open to everyone.

G Lounge.

We prefer to hang at G Spot – the latest hip bar to hit Penang’s bustling night scene. G Spot is G Hotel’s uber-cool Jazz Bar and Lounge. Serving a wide variety of signature martinis, cocktails, cognac, wine, and international alcoholic beverages, this nocturnal retreat plays host to soothing live jazz music.

We enjoyed the 3 days 2 nights stay at G Hotel.

It was so “high life”!

Since 09th November, I had left my heart at G Hotel.

In the event if the housekeeper had found it, please safe keep for me.

I will be back to G Hotel to retrieve my heart back!
