Advertorial: Girllashes

Girllashes started out in December 2007. Girllashes specialises in importing HIGH QUALITY handmade fake eyelashes directly from Taiwan and sells them through her online website, www.girllashes.com.

The different types of lashes include daily wear eyelashes, photo shooting eyelashes, individual eyelashes, lower eyelashes and transparent string eyelashes.

Peh Hoon, the owner of Girllashes has rather interesting policy, “My policy is to sell all the beauty product which is good quality and i myself would not mind buying it. I always putting myself in the shoes of buyer because i am the buyer too~!!”

And well, I have been their faithful customer for two good years since January 2008 and I had tried almost all their fake lashes. Of cos, I have my own FAVOURITES!

On days when I feel like being natural, I normally opt for #215.

I love this since Day 1 and have been a faithful “wear-er” for #482. All I can describe is “It’s dramatic and yet natural”. Sounds contradicting but if you were to try, you will know what I mean.

#JP1 is my new love. According to Peh Hoon, #JP1 is meant to be imported to Japan. So #JP1 is actually rather kawaii.

Another of my new love, #462.

Seriously, I can’t live with Girllashes fake lashes!!!

Girllashes will be holding an Xmas flea market, Fashionista Live on Stage at SMU this coming Saturday, 12 December 2009, from 1pm to 8pm.

Indeed, it’s worth!

We were relieved and relax.

Breakfast at Executive Lounge.

Which I felt exclusivity!

G Cafe.

Open to everyone.

G Lounge.

We prefer to hang at G Spot – the latest hip bar to hit Penang’s bustling night scene. G Spot is G Hotel’s uber-cool Jazz Bar and Lounge. Serving a wide variety of signature martinis, cocktails, cognac, wine, and international alcoholic beverages, this nocturnal retreat plays host to soothing live jazz music.

We enjoyed the 3 days 2 nights stay at G Hotel.

It was so “high life”!

Since 09th November, I had left my heart at G Hotel.

In the event if the housekeeper had found it, please safe keep for me.

I will be back to G Hotel to retrieve my heart back!

Advertorial: Sophisticate

Ever since I had “ballooned” (before Cenosis’ challenge), I no longer buy clothes. Or rather, I had difficulty finding clothes that I liked and of course, of my size.

But now, I am afraid not. I found Sophisticate & especially, after Cenosis’ wonderful treatment, I can fit into Sophisticate’s clothes even better and with much confidence.

“Sophisticate, as defined by Dictionary:

(of a person, ideas, tastes, manners, etc.) altered by
education, experience, etc., so as to be worldly-wise; not naive: a
sophisticated young socialite; the sophisticated eye of a journalist.

Sophisticate is a home-grown local clothing label launched in April 2009 featuring limited edition apparels. We cater to the modern working women who do not want to own mass produced pieces.

At Sophisticate, our customers do not need to pay exorbitant prices for their working wardrobe and yet be able to enjoy good workmanship and high quality fabrics that make an impression. Limited production quantity of 8 pieces and below per size. Sizes available from XS to XL. Fully lined. ”

Sophisticate Profile

Now allow me to SHOW OFF some of my favourite pieces:

Grey Tweed Inspiration: 1950s Vintage

Old school simple demure style with conservative and high square neckline. Diamond-shaped waistband with button detail. A-line skirt. Side zip.
Cotton Linen Blend / Handwash only

SGD59.90

I wore it twice. Once to meet my client and once to attend a function. GUESS WHAT? I had lots of compliments. =D

Tweed Scoopneck – Grey tweed

A classic reworked in an interesting British style fabric

Simple sheath dress with scoopneck front and back, and cap sleeves. Figure flattering bias cut hides all your flaws. Straight cut skirt. Interesting with different kinds of belts but still great on its own.

Side zip. Fabric: Tweed / Handwash only

SGD59.90

The next client meeting, I shall wear this.

Polkadot Babydoll (1950s Vintage)

Sweetheart neckline with wide straps for a slimming effect. Square neckline with wide straps at back makes even your back look slim. Cute puffy skirt and polkadot print makes this dress one of Sophisticate’s bestsellers. Smocked back for a closer fit. Match with a cropped cardigan for a cold office on a dress down friday. Side zip.

Cotton Linen Blend / Handwash only

SGD49.90

This is my favourite piece! I am wearing this on a dress-down Friday.

Summer Stripes (A day in the park)

Overlapping sweetheart neckline with wide straps for a slimming effect. Waistband lends structure while the long flowy faux wrap-around skirt makes this dress fun and flirty. Mini smocking detail at back gives a closer fit. Wear with a creamy cropped cardigan for fridays at work or on it’s own on a weekend at the park. Match with espadrilles and a straw bag for a really cute look.

Side zip. Fabric: Cotton / Handwash only

SGD59.90

I’m simply impressed by this dress. I didn’t really take a 2nd look at this dress but upon trying it, I love it. Weekend dress!

The Chanel-inspirated suit.

Instead of spending S$129 on a similar jacket from Promad, I managed to get myself a full suit. What a great deal I had!!!!! You can even wear this suit separately. Formal or casual, your choice! I shall show you how to mix and match in my next few postings.

Sad to say, I miss out a few beautiful pieces which no longer have my sizes. =(

Victorian – Black (1970s Vintage – Princess Diana)

Elegant hourglass cut makes you look slim and tall. Slightly off-shouldered with ribbon detail at waist-band and tapered pencil skirt. Stitching detail at skirt hem. Wrinkle-free fabric requires no ironing. Back zip.

Cotton Polyester Blend/ Handwash only

SGD59.90

Isn’t it nice? I wish I can own 1 piece. =_(

Twirl Style Dress

Looks elegant if I were to wear it. They even have a similar dress with is in blue instead of the twirl pattern. Well, it’s so popular that it had ran out of my size totally. How sad!

Advertorial – Princessa’s Wardrobe

Our dear Princessa’s Wardrobe is open!

Personally, I love the 1st collection! (I am rather picky in my dressing style.) The following are my few picks.

But doubt I can wear this. It’s too short for me to wear to office & it will look WEIRD in leggings. Plus, I am still not that thin yet. =/

This is super duper chio. I like it. I wonder if she has it in black.

I wanna buy this!!!!!!

Check out Collection 1 here.

I am so looking forward to her Collection 2 already!

减肥其实不难?

From this………..

To this……

isn’t hard but very depressing. But blame who? All thanks to myself. o.O

Ever since I hit 20, my weight fluctuates like stock market. =.=

Poly 3rd year, when I was 20 and had that I-thought-he-was-wonderful bf, I ballooned from size S (a waist line of 24 inch to a size L). I didn’t mind my size until 1 day when I went to a Secondary School gathering, the then ex-bf called me “Auntie!?!?!?!” I was only 20. DAMN!

I tried this prescription drug from GP, Duromine.

“DUROMINE is indicated as a short-term adjunct in a medically monitored comprehensive regimen of weight reduction based on exercise, diet (caloric restriction) and behaviour modification in obese patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30kg/m² or greater who have not achieved an adequate clinical response to an appropriate weight-reducing regimen alone.”

Not to mention the side effects: -

  • sudden or rapid weight loss.
  • difficulty breathing.
  • chest pain.
  • fainting.
  • swelling of the lower limbs and if you can not exercise as much as you usually can.

Duromine may make you feel more awake than usual. You may have trouble sleeping. Duromine can have some effects on the heart. You may notice your heart seems to beat faster and harder, and your blood pressure may be raised slightly. Other side effects you may notice include irregular heart beats, chest pain, feeling restless, feelings of extreme happiness followed by depression and tiredness, nervousness, tremor (shaking), headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or constipation, stomach cramps, dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth, difficulty passing urine, skin rashes, impotence and changes in sexual drive, swelling of the face.

Well, I had almost all. My temper sucks and I hardly sleep 2 hours per day BUT I lost about 10kg in a few months. I was weighed 53kg then.

Unfortunately, this weight didn’t stay with me for long. =_( Once I had stopped the prescription drug, my appetite went back to normal and I ballooned to my current size. O.o

I miss my dresses!
I miss my boots!
I miss
my heels!

I chanced upon Cenosis Glasshouse Challenge 2009 and I took part in it. I had been through Cavitation a couple of times.

Cavitation is the latest technology in slimming. It makes use of stable cavitations to obtain the best results by breaking fat cells membrane through the bursting of micro-bubbles. The complex fatty acids are then broken down into simpler fatty acids. These simple fatty acids can then be passed out through excretory system.

Not only that, Cavitation requires an ‘N2‘ License from National Environment Agency (NEA to operate. The ‘N2’ license is a safety assurance license to ensure that this medical apparatus used for cavitation is handled only by either a medical doctor or physiotherapist.

I lost in all 18cm in just 1 session. IMPRESSIVE!

So why are you hesitating? Don’t you want to shed off your unwanted fats? Make an appointment with Cenosis right now, to find out how you can benefit from this wonderful technology at a special price of S$33. Call 7000 700 6626 or visit www.cenosis.biz/cavitation.php to make an appointment.

TRUST ME! YOU WILL REGRET IF YOU NEVER MAKE THIS CALL!
