Are you drinking the right tea?

1. People who use their 'brain' to work or students who study hard day and night — should drink more chrysanthemum Tea.
2. People who need a lot of body energy to work or those people that do a lot of exercise everyday — should drink Wu Loong Tea.

3. People who travel on a bike or work in dirty and polluted places — should drink Green Tea.
4. For people who likes to sit down all day long and not doing anything even exercising — must drink Green Tea and Flower Tea.

5. People who smoke and drink a lot of alcoholic drinks — should drink more Green Tea.

6. Carnivore (those people who must eat meat) at least once a day, or feel sick or not feeling well — try to drink some Wu Loong Tea.

7. People who go to the washroom too often or too less — should drink more Honey Tea.

8. People with high cholesterol and high blood pressure — Wu Loong Tea, Green Tea.

9. Those who work with computers everyday — need to drink a Lot of Tea (any tea will do).

Whenever you are working with the computer, you should make some tea; drink it when you are free.

Drinking Tea is healthy — it can protect and prevent the harmful Ultraviolet light from harming us (when using computer).

Furthermore, it can also cure us when we are tired and help make our body feel fresh again.

STUPID men’s rules….

Sourced from: http://webcab.de/jom/en/

We always hear "the rules" from the feminine side. Ok – we now hear the guys' side. These are our rules! Please note: these are all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE!

1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down.

1. Birthdays, Valentines, and Anniversaries are not quests to see if we can find the perfect present yet again!

1. Sometimes, we are not thinking about you. Live with it.

1. Shopping is NOT a sport, and no, we are never going to think of it that way.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine. Really.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work. Strong hints do not work. Obvious hints do not work. Just say it!

1. We don't remember dates. Mark birthdays and anniversaries on a calendar. Remind us frequently beforehand.

1. Most guys own three pairs of shoes – tops. What makes you think we'd be any good at choosing which pair, out of thirty, would look good with your dress?

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. Check your oil! Please.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days.

1. If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't expect us to act like soap opera guys.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.

1. Let us ogle. We are going to look anyway; it's genetic.

1. You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done – not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.

1. Christopher Columbus did not need directions, and neither do we.

1. The relationship is never going to be like it was the first two months we were going out. Get over it. And quit whining to your girlfriends.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

1. We are not mind readers and we never will be. Our lack of mind-reading ability is not proof of how little we care about you.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. I'm in shape. – ROUND is a shape.

Be on guard, life insurers advised

Extracted from AsiaOne.

LIFE insurers have been reminded by the financial industry regulator to be on guard against potential risks to their business, including fraud and unsafe investments, given the financial crisis.

Monetary Authority of Singapore deputy managing director Teo Swee Lian issued the reminder in her address as guest of honour at the Life Insurance Association (LIA) annual general meeting at the Shangri-La Hotel yesterday.

She emphasised the importance of taking pre-emptive measures such as strengthening the solvency positions of the financial institution early and 'stress testing' to test the risk of failure.

Said Ms Teo: 'The sudden and sharp falls in global asset markets have emphasised the importance of sound risk management in financial institutions.'

Insurers should take steps to strengthen their solvency positions early before market conditions worsen, she said.

To assess their resilience to market falls, MAS already requires life insurers to take an annual stress test that includes prescribed scenarios.

However, relying on these scenarios is not sufficient. Ms Teo urged insurers to also consider scenarios that could be potentially devastating for their own business profiles.

'Insurers should consider doing 'stress to failure' tests so that they are aware of the combination of stress conditions that could lead to insolvency.'

These so called 'stress to failure'' scenarios are events, however unlikely, that could cause a financial institution to crash.

Insurers were also warned of the potentially increased risk of fraud amid tough times and the importance of reviewing controls and having in place a fraud management function to prevent loopholes that fraudsters can exploit.

Ms Teo said while insurers should continue to develop new innovative products, they should not 'charge' into investing in complex products they have no expert knowledge of – with a slim hope of generating higher returns. As such, insurers should only underwrite risks that are within their core expertise.

She suggested that insurers provide more regular updates to policyholders on the impact of the financial turbulence on their policies in order to calm fears. This would help to prevent customers from surrendering their policies based on rumours rather than on facts.

At the AGM held before the luncheon, Mr Darren Thomson and Mr Tan Hak Leh were elected president and deputy president of LIA, respectively. Mr Thomson is president and chief executive of Manulife Singapore while Mr Tan is managing director of Great Eastern Life.

The upgrading of advisers' knowledge is a top priority of both MAS and LIA.

Both Ms Teo and Mr Thomson emphasised the importance of continual training to equip advisers with the skills to help Singaporeans plan more effectively.

LIA will also focus on raising awareness of the need to be adequately insured.

Last year, the life insurance industry grew by 3 per cent. Mr Thomson is hopeful that it will maintain the same growth rate this year.

Global recession could last til end 2010 or longer: report

Extracted from Yahoo.

NEW DELHI (AFP) – - The US professor nicknamed "Dr. Doom" for forecasting the financial crisis has said the global recession will last all of this year and probably next, India's Mail Today reported Saturday.

New York University professor Nouriel Roubini said that in the best-case scenario, the recession will continue through 2010 in advanced economies while job losses will persist for an additional year, the paper reported.

He said world governments are falling behind the curve in tackling the crisis with "policymakers moving in the right direction — but (doing) too little too late."

Speaking at a New Delhi conference, Roubini warned that the United States, Europe and Japan must "get their act together" to avoid the global economy sinking further.

"People were hoping it would be a V-shaped recession — a sharp fall, followed by an equally quick recovery," he said.

"But we are in the middle of an ugly U-shaped recession," he said Friday.

Roubini said the bottom of the 'U' — the length of time the world economy will continue to contract — would last a minimum of three years starting from December 2007.

But he said there was a "one-in-three chance" that recession would turn into an 'L' — a prolonged period of stagnation or shrinking output, coupled with falling prices as demand dries up.

As early as 2005, Roubini said US home prices were riding a speculative wave that would soon sink the economy, but was dismissed as a doomsayer.

In Delhi, he said the problems of the financial system and financial institutions were getting worse, but that the outlook could be improved by governments taking charge of insolvent banks, cleaning them up and then selling them to private investors.

"People say when the US sneezes, the rest of the world catches cold. In this case, the US is just not sneezing, it has a severe case of chronic pneumonia."

"We all sink or swim together," he said, adding there is no way policy action in emerging economic giants India and China can pull the global economy out of the slump.

GUESS, I SHOULD SAVE MY MONEY AND NOT GO HOLIDAY FOR THE TIME BEING TILL ECONOMY IS BACK.
