Since Sandy Shortt’s childhood classmate disappeared twenty years ago, Sandy has been obsessed with missing things. Finding becomes her goal- whether it’s the sock that vanished in the washing machine, the car keys she misplaced or the graver issue of finding the people who vanish from their lives. Sandy dedicates her life to finding these missing people, offering devastated families a flicker of hope.
Jack Ruttle is one of those desperate people. It’s been a year since his brother Donal vanished into thin air. Thinking Sandy Shortt could well be the answer to his prayers, he embarks on a quest to find her.
But when Sandy goes missing too, she stumbles upon the place – and people – she’s been looking for all her life. A world away from her loved ones and the home she ran from for so long, Sandy soon resorts to her old habit again, searching. Though this time, she is desperately trying to find her way home.
Recommendation: 7.5/10 An interesting theory on where our missing things went to. =/ Even for missing humans.
Packing up the dreams God planted In the fertile soil of you Cant believe the hopes hes granted Means a chapter in your life is through But well keep you close as always It wont even seem youve gone cause our hearts in big and small ways Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus: And friends are friends forever If the lords the lord of them And a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end Though its hard to let you go In the fathers hands we know That a lifetimes not too long to live as friends.
With the faith and love gods given Springing from the hope we know We will pray the joy youll live in Is the strength that now you show
But well keep you close as always It wont even seem youve gone cause our hearts in big and small ways Will keep the love that keeps us strong
This song is dedicated to those friends of mine who deserved it.
Quotes of the day:
“The secret to friendship is being a good listener.”
“A good friend is hard to find, hard to lose, and impossible to forget…”
“A true friend is someone you can trust with all your secrets.”
“A true friend is the one who knows more about you than yourself and still loves you”
THANK YOU, KIM & LINDA FOR BEING AROUND ALWAYS THESE COUPLE OF YEARS!
The rest? I reserve my rights not to comment. It’s getting VERY tiring, somehow. It makes me feel that it’s even more difficult to maintain some friendships with some folks than to maintain a relationship with someone I love. Whatever it is, I strongly believe that 天下没有不散的宴席。I simply cannot expect every single friends to stick around with me, going through thick and thin. Some friends goes while true friends stay. For now, I rest my case.

Various hotels across the Marina Bay area switched off their lights at 8.30pm sharp.
Even the Singapore Flyer took part in observing Earth Hour this year.

Dinner at Paradise Inn, West Coast Plaza with my auntie.
The place was rather crowded despite the rather quiet West Coast Plaza.
We had 猪肚汤 & well, it tasted so much better as compared to the one my mum cooked few weeks back (her cooking deteriorated indeed). $13.80 for 1 pot which can serves up to 4 person. Worth!
The next time round, I bet I wanna try the Double-boiled apple with water goby soup – rich in nutrients and healthy. The stock is accompanied with chicken feet and pork ribs, besides its ingredients of fish and apple. I had tried this in Taste Paradise and I hope that the taste will be similar over at Paradise Inn.
My favourite! Poached Spinach with 3 types of eggs. Tasted so much better than the one over at Crystal Jade. the spinach was crunchy and fresh and it poached with chunks of whole garlic.
Fried cod fish with fermented beancurd. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. GOOD! I simply love cod fish in whatever style.
We had the fried rice.
As for dessert, we had a mango sago – share.
There are lots of items which are worth trying. Say Wasabi prawns (which can be found in Taste Paradise), Flora tea (Various) and their various dessert.
