Keep things in Pairs

If you don't like being alone and want someone to share your life with, you would be well advised to surround your personal space with things that symbolize Nature's pairing of the male with female. The ultimate symbol of Chinese Feng Shui is the Yin/Yan symbol which encapsulates the complementary nature of the male / female union. This represents the balance that is so vital in Feng Shui symbolism.

Two for Luck

The Chinese are extremely conscious of the auspiciousness of giving, taking or displaying things in pairs. Many of the prosperity and good luck symbols of the Chinese come in pairs – the ultimate of which is, of course, the Chinese Dragon. Dragons are either shown in pairs – two Chinese Dragons frolicking with the eternal pearl,or a dragon and a phoenix to symbolize conjugal happiness.

Love Birds

Phoenix or Mandarin ducks or birds, which symbolize the happiness of young love, are also always shown in pairs. Whether drawn on to ceramics or depicted as brush paintings,they are never featured alone. Neither will you ever see three in a painting. Another symbol of love is a pair of butterflies, although this is seldom used in Feng Shui since this is a symbol of a love that ends in tragedy. (I better don't have 2 butterflies tattoo. Play safe.)
Two other extremely meaningful and auspicious symbols are the double fish, which is a very lucky symbol and the pair of footsteps. This is also a religious symbol for Buddhists of all traditions, and it expresses the karmic happiness of prosperous rebirths that occur after death.

Place Feng Shui crystals

The power of feng shui crystal can be used in the practice of Feng Shui. Natural crystals are especially effective for energizing the South west corner of your bedroom or living room.
Feng Shui crystals are one of the best symbols of "mother earth" and the South west is the corner of big earth. It is also the corner that governs the luck of love, romance and family happiness.
Before you display your crystal, wash it thoroughly to get rid of any negative energies it may be carrying. Do this by soaking it in sea salt water for seven days and seven nights.

If your problem is getting your partner to make a commitment to propose marriage or simply to acknowledge you are an " item ", then, in addition to displaying a Feng Shui crystal, you should give strength to the crystal by installing a very bright light there.

Phoenix and Dragon couple

The dragon and phoenix are the perfect couple in Feng Shui. Dragon is "yang" while phoenix is "yin", and they complement each other in creating yin-yang balance to harvest successful matrimonial bliss. This celestial couple is the symbol of everlasting love. Place Phoenix and Dragon couple figurine or image in your love romance area of your room.

Crystal Lotus

Said to be one of the most powerful enhancers for good luck and romance if you place it in the Southwest of your room and if you place it in the Southeast it provides auspicious luck for home and business. You can also place it in the centre of your home or business to enhance wealth and overall good luck.

Feng Shui For single people

Poster, picture

– hang or place your favorite person's such as a movie star, or a musician or whoever your favorite type's poster or picture in the southwest of your room. This will give you the opportunity to meet a similar kind of person of whose poster you are placing. (My whole wall full of Jay liao lor.)

Red Rose with crystal

– Before you go to a party, bring a small crystal with 13 red rose petals in a small bag in your pocket, this will bring you love opportunity. After you used it, bury the rose petal, and clean the crystal with salt water.

Rose Quarts

– Place rose quarts in the South west direction.

Feng Shui Puzzle Ball Phoenix and Dragon carved

-Chi balls are an ancient form of carving from China. Sometimes called ‘puzzle balls’ or ‘mystery balls’ , they have an intertwined dragon and phoenix carved outside and four layers inside – each layer inside is completely detached and moveable.
The four layers signify the four directions or elements of earth. The dragon and phoenix represent our male/female energies showing our ability to master earthly events and situations. Place it in the South west of your bedroom or living room. That will bring your great love opportunity.

Loving Couple Images

– Images of loving couples are used in Feng Shui to enhance present relationships or draw future relationship closer.

Image of Two Birds

– Place a pair of birds in your bedroom. In China, birds are seen as harbingers of good luck, so including a pair in your bedroom can enhance a relationship.

Satsuma Egg or Jade Egg

– Place a pair of eggs on your nightstand. This cure is good for couples who want a child because it combines loving vibrations contained in the ovoid shape that symbolizes fertility and new life.

Two Rose Quartz Pieces

– on Your Dresser Rose quartz objects contain subtle vibrations that affect the emotions to strengthen feelings of affection. This cure also uses the number two to encourage affection between you and your partner.

I need…..

A SHORT GETAWAY!

 From work and from SG.

I need a breather again, from those unnecessary people around me.

Planned.

I am going Batam over the Valentine's Day weekend.

With my new lover. =X

Guess who.

Feng Shui

Believe it?

Believe not?

Well, prevention is better than cure.

So I am getting these.

Petty office politics is common in most workplaces. The best way to counter such negative and counterproductive energy is to display the figurine of a Rooster in the office. This will help to quell arguments, backstabbing and politicking. Place in the south sector of your office to boost recognition for your efforts as well.

The Mystic Knot is a combination of 6 times the infinity symbol. This wonderful knot symbolizes a long and happy life enriched with endless good fortunes, and uninterrupted by illnesses or setbacks. Apart from being used to encourage prosperity and longevity, it is also widely used as a symbol of everlasting love. It is also a potent symbol of protection.

  The Jade Qui Ren is a symbol of two noblemen. They bring in good mentor and networking luck. These noblemen also ensure that all your relationships are smooth. Whether you are working, in business or even studying, carry the Jade Qui Ren with you and helpful people will surround you. You can also hang them at your desk.

  Mandarin ducks are famous and potent symbols of love and marital bliss as they create Chi that helps lovers tie the knot. Thus, anyone wanting to energize their love life should get a pair of these ducks. By hanging a pair of these ducks in the Southwest sector of your living room or bedroom, it will activate your love and marriage Chi! These mandarin ducks made of jade crystal represents the Earth element and is a potent attractor of romance luck.

Sinus

I came to realise I actually have sinus.

Especially when it comes to the night.

On my birthday celebration, approximately, around 2am, I started to feel STUPIDLY cold that I need to wrap myself with Belinda's gift (a towel which I had requested). I was almost shivering whereby I seriously rejected all beer cos I was feeling freaking cold as if I had a fever. My head was spinning, not from alcohol, but no idea what was it.

Now, my nose is blocked again. I sounded as if I am down with a stupid flu. & I am having a damn headache.

Yesterday, whole morning, I was sniffing cos of the old files and boxes. No matter how much I tried to dig my nose, there was nothing. But I was sniffing and "ah choo-ing" the whole morning till the boxes and files were at peace.

 Isn't it sinus?

How the hell I only know that I had it now?

Guess it's in born in us. My sister suffers the same symptoms since young. Surprisingly, hers only occur in the morning. =.=

Off to bed, it's irritating me.

Sinus infections can be brought on by colds and even allergies, but many of us do not realize we have an infection and tend not to treat it as such. Not properly treating a sinus infection can cause us undue pain and suffering when all we need is antibiotics.

Understanding the signs and symptoms of a sinus infection can help us know when we need to seek medical advice, however, the symptoms vary according to what sinuses are infected and if the infection is acute or chronic.

Symptoms of an acute sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the eyes in the Ethmoid sinuses are:
* nasal congestion with mucus dripping down the throat
* pain around the corners of the eye or down just one side of your nose
* headache around the eyes or in the temple
* pain when coughing or when lying on your back

Symptoms of an acute sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the cheekbones in the Maxillary sinuses are:
* pain in the cheekbones, around or under the eyes or even in the your upper teeth
* sore, tender, or swollen cheekbones
* pain increases when you hold your head up and the pain eases when lying down
* nasal congestion with mucus dripping down the throat
* fever is common

Symptoms of an acute sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the forehead in the Frontal sinuses are:
* Severe headache in your forehead
* fever is common
* pain is worse when lying down
* nasal congestion with mucus dripping down the throat

Symptoms of an acute sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the eyes in the Sphenoid sinuses are:
* Strong headache with pain in the back and on top of the head, behind the eyes and across the forehead
* Fever is common
* Pain intensifies when lying down or bending forward
* Vision problems or double vision
* nasal congestion with mucus dripping down the throat

Symptoms of a chronic sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the eyes in the Ethmoid sinuses are:
* Constant or severe nasal congestion with pain across the bridge of the nose
* Pain is more noticeable in the late morning or if you wear glasses
* Severe sore throat
* Bad breath
* Normally comes back in other sinus cavities

Symptoms of a chronic sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the cheekbones in the Maxillary sinuses are:
* Pain below one eye or both
* Severe tooth pain
* Pain increases with flu, allergies or colds
* Pain increases during the day
* Cough at night

Symptoms of a chronic sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the forehead in the Frontal sinuses are:
* Constant minor headache in the forehead
* A history of damage to the sinus area

Symptoms of a chronic sinus infection or sinusitis for behind the eyes in the Sphenoid sinuses are:
* Minor overall general headache

11th January 2009 – My birthday!

I found a "set" of blue blacks on my right foot while I was wearing PH's slippers, playing with Guo Guo. It STUPIDLY hurts & I seriously had no idea how I got this "set" of blue black.

While in the shower an hour ago, another "set" of blue blacks found on my right thigh. -_-"

Seriously, what the FARK did I do? @_@ KNN!

======================================

My BLING BLING nails.  Birthday cum CNY though I will be home. =X As usual, do for the fun of it. I love nice blink blink nails. You like them????? I love them lots but still yet reach the "effects" I want. But again, the too-drama-effect, I don't think its quite suitable for the daily routine. Well,I have to be more practical, i guess.

==========================================

I saw an UGLY Coach bag! Even if foc, I also don't know. Therefore, please! Those who is going to USA to buy 1 for me. Please skip Coach. I never love Coach, simply cos I find it too "auntish". A LV, Mui Mui, Dior, Prada or Burberry will do even better. If for the same price range, I think Kate Spade seems a better brand. Well, to carry that UGLY Coach bag, I rather stick to my $181 (or if bought in Paris, $123) Longchamp (FYI, that Coach can at least buy 8 of my Longchamps). =X Simply, "tasteless".

祝我生日快樂!

I thought of inking again!

Singapore’s first tattoo show kicks off on Friday

Extracted from Channel New Asia

SINGAPORE: Singapore's first-ever Tattoo Show kicks off at the Singapore Expo on Friday and it is believed to be the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. One main attraction during the three-day show is Chris Garver from the popular reality TV series, Miami Ink.
Organisers are spending up to S$300,000 for the first-ever Singapore Tattoo Show. With over 100 booths, 21 Singapore tattoo studios will also be showcased, besides other Asian and Western ones.

Another highlight is traditional tattooing from places like Borneo, and the industry hopes to change perceptions about tattooing.

Chris Garver, tattoo expert, Miami Ink, USA, said: "I was in Japan for a long time. There're a lot of connotations with the Yakuza there. But the percentage of people who get tattoos who are Yakuza is very small compared to the people who aren't Yakuza. So a lot of it is changing. A lot of American pop culture has influenced tattooing there."

Kirby Lian, organiser, Singapore Tattoo Show, said: "I have ever tattooed a young 14-year-old girl who came with her mother and they both got the same tattoo on the ankle."

While hoping to change perceptions, organisers also aim to highlight the tremendous skills involved.

Legends in the industry, such as Paul Booth of Last Rites Tattoo (USA), Robert Hernandez (Spain) and Bob Tyrrell (USA), will also be at the show.

The show was the result of organisers networking in various tattoo conventions overseas. They hope to have at least 15,000 people attend the event.

The organisers are also hoping to make this an annual show and maybe spice things up with performances from rock bands and even a motorbike show. – CNA/vm
