The end of 不良笑花 (Miss No Good)

Movies I want to catch…
Changeling.
Clint Eastwood directs Angelina Jolie and John Malkovich in a provocative thriller based on actual events: "Changeling." In the film, Christine Collins' (Jolie) prayers are met when her kidnapped son is returned. But amidst the frenzy of the photo-op reunion, she realizes this child is not hers. Facing corrupt police and a skeptical public, she desperately hunts for answers, only to be confronted by a truth that will change her forever.
Los Angeles, 1928: On a Saturday morning in a working-class suburb, Christine said goodbye to her son, Walter, and left for work. When she came home, she discovered he had vanished. A fruitless search ensues, and months later, a boy claiming to be the nine-year-old is returned. Dazed by the swirl of cops, reporters and her conflicted emotions, Christine allows him to stay overnight. But in her heart, she knows he is not Walter.
As she pushes authorities to keep looking, she learns that in Prohibition-era L.A., women don't challenge the system and live to tell their story. Slandered as delusional and unfit, Christine finds an ally in activist Reverend Briegleb (Malkovich), who helps her fight the city to look for her missing boy. Based on the actual incident that rocked California's legal system, "Changeling" tells the shocking tale of a mother's quest to find her son, and those who won't stop until they silence her.
Rachel Getting Married.
"Rachel Getting Married" is a contemporary drama with an aggressive sense of humor about the return of an estranged daughter to the family home for her sister's wedding. Kym's (Hathaway) reemergence throws a wrench into the family dynamics, forcing long-simmering tensions to surface in ways both hilarious and heartbreaking. "Rachel Getting Married" paints a colorful, nuanced family portrait and is filled with the rich characters that have always been a hallmark of Jonathan Demme's films.
The Reader. (R 21)
THE READER opens in post-WWII Germany when teenager Michael Berg becomes ill and is helped home by Hanna, a stranger twice his age. Michael recovers from scarlet fever and seeks out Hanna to thank her. The two are quickly drawn into a passionate but secretive affair.
Michael discovers that Hanna loves being read to and their physical relationship deepens. Hanna is enthralled as Michael reads to her from The Odyssey, Huck Finn, and The Lady with the Little Dog. Despite their intense bond, Hanna mysteriously disappears one day and Michael is left confused and heartbroken. Eight years later, while Michael is a law student observing the Nazi war crime trials, he is stunned to find Hanna back in his life this time as a defendant in the courtroom. As Hannas past is revealed, Michael uncovers a deep secret that will impact both of their lives.
THE READER is a haunting story about truth and reconciliation, about how one generation comes to terms with the crimes of another.
Inkheart
Based on the book by Cornelia Funke, "Inkheart" is a timeless adventure tale of imagination that centers on Meggie, a young girl whose father has a secret ability to bring characters from books to life when he reads them aloud. But when a power-hungry villain from a rare children's fable kidnaps Meggie's father to bring others out of the boundaries of fiction, she and a disparate group of friends both real and magic embark on the kind of adventure she has only read about in books to save him and set things right.
Valkyrie
n a country in the grips of evil, in a police state where every move is being watched, in a world where justice and honor have been subverted, a group of men hidden inside the highest reaches of power decide to take action.
Tom Cruise stars in the suspense film, VALKYRIE, based on the true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (CRUISE) and the daring and ingenious plot to eliminate one of the most evil tyrants the world has ever known. Director Bryan Singer (THE USUAL SUSPECTS, X-MEN, SUPERMAN RETURNS) re-teams with Academy Award-winning USUAL SUSPECTS screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie to bring to life the story of the men who led the operation to assassinate Hitler.
The film also stars an acclaimed cast including Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Carice van Houten, Thomas Kretschmann, Eddie Izzard, Christian Berkel and Terence Stamp. A proud military man, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is a loyal officer who serves his country all the while hoping that someone will find a way to stop Hitler before Europe and Germany are destroyed. Realizing that time is running out, he decides that he must take action himself and joins the German resistance. Armed with a cunning strategy to use Hitlers own emergency plan known as Operation Valkyrie these men plot to assassinate the dictator and overthrow his Nazi government from the inside. With everything in place, with the future of the world, the fate of millions and the lives of his wife and children hanging in the balance, von Stauffenberg is thrust from being one of many who oppose Hitler to the one who must kill Hitler himself.
Who wanna watch with me???
赤壁:決戰天下 (Red Cliff II)
With a budget of US$80million, "Red Cliff" is the most expensive Asian-financed film to date. The movie is based on historical records of "The Chronicles of the Three Kingdom" rather than the novel, "Romance of the Three Kingdom". In the early third century, the land of Wu is invaded by the warlord Cao Cao and his soldiers. The ruler of Wu, Sun Quan (Chang Chen), calls on the rival warlord Liu Bei (You Yong) for help, but their two armies are still badly outnumbered. However, the strategists Zhou Yu (Tony Leung) and Zhuge Liang (Takeshi Kaneshiro) see that Cao Cao's army is unused to battling on the sea. With 200,000 men, Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang defeat Cao Cao's army at the Yangtze River.
Recommendation: If you watch Part 1, of cos will have to watch Part 2 right? Part 2 has more actions as compared to Part 1. Again, I need to read the book. -_-" my stupid friends who have the books, just refused to go and find. KNN! Maybe I will searh in library later. Geez….
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Bags
Is this bag nice? Cost USD$298. I seriously do not think that it's nice. It looks kind of "auntie-ish". Well, maybe different individual has different taste. I personally do not like this bag & over my dead body will I buy this bag. Even if given FOC, I will end up selling it cos I don't think I will ever carry it. Asking me to carry this? I rather carry my SGD$161 (currently SGD$181/ SGD$123 if bought from Paris). How about you? What do you think?
If I were to buy, I would rather pay a bit more to top up till USD$358 tol buy this. Jeslyn bought 1 at SGD800 plus. Of cos, buying from US directly will cost u less than SGD$600.
Well, currently, me isn't keen on bags anymore. My Miu Miu, Gucci, Burberry, LV, Dior etc are all "sitting" in my wardrobe collecting dust. o_O I am just too lazy to change bag. Plus my Longchamp is such a GREAT bag. I simply "dump" everything I need into the Longchamp, grab and go. Not only that, I can "dump" it anywhere I want without the thought of it being so expensive. I guess, one's love for bags diminishes as age catches up. Don't you agree?
But of cos, it does not mean that I am giving up on my Chanel 2.55. o_O
Meet the influenza virus
Here is how influenza can spread:
- A person who is infected with influenza coughs or sneezes, releasing tiny particles of virus. (This person may not even feel sick at the time.)
- Another person in the room may breathe in the viral particles.
- The viral particles can then attach themselves to cells in the nose, throat, and lungs of this second person.
- Each cell that has been infected by influenza becomes a little "influenza factory," making more virus to infect additional cells.
- The damage to the cells in the nose, throat, and lungs can cause the person to cough, thereby helping to spread the influenza virus to other people.
- Viral particles that land on doorknobs, telephones, and other surfaces can cause infection if someone picks up influenza on their hands and then touches their nose, mouth, or eyes.
