How to put on fake eyelashes

Practise makes PERFECT!

Stocks to be replenished on pay day… (Updated)

There is so many things I need to buy! *Sigh*

And I am too lazy to go and buy. Therefore, most probably will be doing it on weekdays during lunch hours or after office hours. Likely to be weekdays lunch hours. I am too lazy to go down to Raffles City or Bugis Junction after work to buy. I rather find a place to chill or go home and rest.

1. Liquid Foundation: Mac, Estee Lauder, Clarins or back to Lancome?

2. 2-way cake foundation: Shiseido, Mac or back to Lancome?

3. Eyebrow pencil: Shu Uemura

4. Eye cream: Currently using Shu Uemura. Any recommendations? Was thinking of using Kinerase. Or Suisse Programme? or even H20? Or Artistry (AMWAY brand)?

5. Blemish gel: I had used so many blesmish gels & I still prefer Shiseido. Any other brand? Or Artistry (which is from AMWAY. How to find sellers?)?

6. Lip balm: Julique, Khiel, Elizabeth Arden? I have bad pealing lips, after my recently rashes incident.

7. Facial scrub – Currently Shiseido. Should I change the brand? Or in the 1st place, do we need such expensive scrub? Skin Food? H2O? Laneige?

8. Body Scrub – St Ives face scrub as body scrub? Unless I go back to Batam to get mandi lulur scrub which is so freaking cheap. Anyone keen on Batam?

Any other recommendations before I head out to buy all the above?

Scratching like a MONKEY….

ARGH!!!!

It was so ITCHY. To the extent that my mind ceased operation during office hours. I was literally scratching like a don't-know-never-shower-how-many-days monkey.

FINALLY, I left office on the dot and went to Jurong East Company Doctor to take a jab. I was indeed desperate. My own family doctor was off for the day and he will only be back in the office tomorrow, which is Sunday morning. The clinic near my office was closed for registration when I called at 5.20pm (the same time when the rashes got worse).

It was a painful jab! Still hurt at this very time. Annoyed But least, the rashes subsided for the time being. Damn the rashes!

Extracted from Wikipedia

A rash is a change of the skin which affects its color, appearance, or texture. A rash may be localized in one part of the body, or affect all the skin. Rashes may cause the skin to change color, itch, become warm, bumpy, dry, cracked or blistered, swell and may be painful. The causes, and therefore treatments for rashes, vary widely. Diagnosis must take into account such things as the appearance of the rash, other symptoms, what the patient may have been exposed to, occupation, and occurrence in family members. The diagnosis may confirm any number of conditions. Many conditions, such as psoriasis, can be openly discussed in online communities such as ItchyRedSkin.com. Discussions in this type of forum can help patients gain an understanding based on other people's experiences.

The presence of a rash may aid associated signs and symptoms are diagnostic of certain diseases. For example, the rash in measles is an erythematous, maculopapular rash that begins a few days after the fever starts; it classically starts at the head and spreads downwards.

Common causes of rashes include:

  • anxiety
  • allergies, for example to foods, dyes, medicines, insect stings, metals such as zinc or nickel; such rashes are often called hives.
  • skin contact with an irritant
  • bacterial or viral infection, e.g., by the viruses that cause chickenpox, smallpox, cold sores and measles
  • fungal infection, such as ringworm
  • reaction to vaccination
  • skin diseases such as eczema or acne
  • exposure to sun (sunburn) or heat
  • irritation such as caused by abrasives impregnated in clothing rubbing the skin. The cloth itself may be abrasive enough for some people

Uncommon causes:

  • autoimmune disorders such as psoriasis
  • lead poisoning
  • pregnancy

The causes of a rash are extremely broad, which may make the evaluation of a rash extremely difficult. An accurate evaluation by a doctor may only be made in the context of a thorough history (What medication is the patient taking? What is the patient's occupation? Where has the patient been?) and complete physical examination.

Points to note in the examination include:

  • the appearance: e.g., purpuric (typical of vasculitis and meningococcal septiaemia), fine and like sandpaper (typical of scarlet fever); umbilicated lesions are typical of molluscum contagiosum (and in the past, small pox); plaques with silver scales are typical of psoriasis.
  • the distribution: e.g., the rash of scarlet fever becomes confluent and forms bright red lines in the skin creases of the neck, armpits and groins (Pastia's lines); the vesicles of chicken pox seem to follow the hollows of the body (they are more prominent along the depression of the spine on the back and in the hollows of both shoulder blades); very few rashes affect the palms of the hands and soles of the feet (secondary syphilis, rickettsia or spotted fevers,[1] guttate psoriasis, hand, foot and mouth disease, keratoderma blenorrhagica);
  • symmetry: e.g., herpes zoster usually only affects one side of the body and does not cross the midline.

Typically, it is never a good habit for one to scratch a rash, as doing so may invigorate the rash and cause it to spread. Gently rubbing the rash may provide temporary relief, but it is more than likely better to avoid contact with the affected areas altogether.

Disney Naturally – I so wanna go!

The entrance, I guess so. It's so kiddish. I simply just love it. A glimpse of the interior of Disney Naturally. The feeling is so much like "I-am-in-Disney-Land". Don't you agree with me?

Look at the Mickey Mouse seats! Though it seems a bit too small for my big butt. Tongue out But don't you think it's just so cute?

The menu. Can't resist myself for not stealing. So cute right? Simply looks like a Mickey Mouse colouring book I had when I was young.

Finally the food. Mickey Mouse head pizza and it seems to be that everyone likes to order this when they have their meals there. I am wondering if it is really that nice? But still, can't bear to eat it right? According to Veron, there are like 6 different types of pizza,

mickey’s classic
– daisy’s garden
– donald’s legend
– minnie’s secret
– pete’s pan
– pino’s fancy

Even the names of the pizza sound so cool! Innovative, no doubt! Not only that, while you are enjoying your disney-themed meal, you can also watch movies. The shows are actually screened during a certain timing of the day. No only this, kids can enjoy themselves at the games corner after their meals.  Still the Mickey Mouse theme. This can for sure entertain the kids well enough without much disturbance.

Don't forget to wash your hands before and after meal at the special looking washing bay.

Now, I so wanna go! Who want to accompany me to go? Anyway, who say it's for kids only?

Now I wonder, when will there be a Kitty fast food restaurant? Anywhere soon?

Or even better, a Jay Chou restaurant, similar to Mr J Italian & French Restaurant. I will welcome with my arms.

Pictures Credits goes to Natsu and Milkfrost.

Jay Chou – For Sale?

Jay is for sale?

I wish! Jay is never for sales. Cos he is mine. LOLx…..

In fact, it's Jay Chou World Tour mechandises that are on sales. But, I am not the seller. My items bought are for my own consumption only. Laughing

First and for most, the figurines.   The Taiwan figurine. Our very own Singapore figurine, which I had it in the whole set and also a sole figurine by its own which is in the office. Always "peeping" at me while I am working. Tongue out  & lastly, the LA figurine. Anyone wanna buy them individually? You can get them now!

The cutie tote bag, which I collected mine on my Company CNY dinner at Yan Palace last month. It was such a "malu" scene. Imagine me carrying 2 of these tote bags walking here and there? Funny right?

The tee shirts. Both are in"M" size. Actually, I want to buy but I seriously do not dare to wear it out on the street. I still need my image though. UNLESS, I am 20 years old now then I seriously will not mind. Hee…….

Some little little items, which I already had them all plus extra as well.   The pink lanyard which I used to put my officeentry pass. Cute right? So pinky! The black one, which is kind of man but it's more matchable to his concert theme. Don't you agree? I like this. It comes in a box. So high class! I cannot bear to use mine. Merely take out once in a while to have a look at it only. The cutie HP strap in both pink and black. Both are cool in fact. I have 4 in all. Not that I have 4 HPs.

Last but not least, the 2 posters in tube which I did not manage to get. The orange blackground one is also for sale too. I am now thinking if I should get the poster from the seller cos I did not manage to buy the poster actually. The item was sold out by the time it was my turn to pre order.

Last item on the list,   the file set. Should I buy? But if I buy already, what should I do with it? Bring to office to use? I cannot bear to use it. Keep it? Kind of silly to keep a file set. Hmmmm… I shall seriously consider.

Anyway, if you are keen on any of the items above, please email Shamus at @ shamusseow@hotmail.com. Alternatively, leave me a tag. I will get him to reply you.

Happy purchasing! Good luck!

SMRT fined almost S$400,000 for 7—hour train disruption in January

SMRT will be fined almost S$400,000 for the severe disruption to its train services on 21 January.

The Land Transport Authority, which imposed the S$387,176 fine, has given SMRT up to two weeks to justify why that the penalty should not be imposed.

The LTA concluded that the 7—hour disruption was due to SMRT’s working party not complying with operating procedures. This was specifically on securing the parked portion of the maintenance train, which comprised a locomotive and a wagon.

According to operating procedures, during maintenance works, the portion comprising a locomotive and a RGV (Rail Grinding Vehicle) will proceed with its works, while the portion of the maintenance train is detached and parked at a distance from the working zone.

However, investigations from LTA and SMRT showed that on 21 January, SMRT did not apply the locomotive’s parking brake. There was also no wheel chock placed to prevent movement along the gradient of the track.

If SMRT had followed operating procedures, a roll—back would have been prevented.

Some 57,000 MRT passengers in the eastern part of Singapore were affected by the disruption, which occurred in the morning.

Train services were disrupted for seven hours and 17 minutes between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris MRT stations. — CNA/ir

Authentic vs Replica

I saw My boss saw someone carrying a Miu Miu coffer bag in pink skin salmon colour at the traffic light of ORQ & Hong Leong building during our lunch time. In fact, I did not notice. Suddenly, she hit touched me on my hand and pointed at that bag. I was like "I think it's fake. The only colours they have is like black, brown and the latest grey? But anyway, even it is to be real, looking at the way she carries, it looks so not real anymore." She seconded whatever I said.

Don't you agree? I took a couple of years to realise it cos I was a "die-die-must-be-branded" little Princess. Princess, I am still. Little, no longer.

Let's see,

vs

Tell me which is the real 1?

(Clue: One of them is real. One of them belongs to me & I bought from the Miu Miu bouquet at Paragon. It cost me S$2,220!)

Answer???????????

How about this?

vs

Which is which?

Answer????

(Clue: One of them is my own collection. Cost me slightly cheaper than Miu Miu, S$2,110)

======================================================================

Talking about bags, I have a friend. She has been eyeing for LV bags since last year? I simply cannot remember which month of last year already? Maybe mid last year or so? Her LV Trevie. FYI, it has been out of stock since November 2007. I was told new stock will be in in January 2008 but till to date, she has not gotten her LV Trevie. Now, she just told me over MSN that she wanna get a LV Berkeley. When asked, why did not she buy? She told me that there was no stock. Oh well, if she loves the bag so much, and if I were her, I will either put myself on waiting list or forget about the bag and stop talking about it. She did not put herself on waiting list cos………………… Here is her reply via msn: -

Gf says:
if there its there
Gf says:
if nt than dun buy lor
Gf says:
ntas if i will die without the bag
Gf says:
good to have something to look forward to having to. and also make me think twice
Gf says:
of spending so much

My conclusion is "If you cannot put with that sum of money to buy that branded bag, then don't mind. Stop whining to me about the bag being out of stock and ask me to take half day leave to accompany to shop for the bag when you don't seem to have the intention to buy."

=========================================================

My advice to all, "Though branded bags are expensive and people view it as a show-off, I would think that it's wise to have at least one. Presentable when you are out for business lunches, dinners etc…… But again, it seriously depends on whether you can carry the branded bag off, which is the most important factor. Or else, what is the point of spending a few thousands buying a bag which ended up to look like a replica one?

Hmmmmmmmmmm…………………

Dear ichqs customer,

We are so sorry for the unpleasant experience.

Please visit our website to request for refund by clicking on the
"Request Refund" button.

Due to the merger & restructure mentioned in our website,
we have terminated the telesales team. A few disgruntled ex-staff
may have contacted you via sms and spread vicious rumours.
We have handed this matter to the relevant authorities for investigation.
We apologize for the inconveniences caused.

Anyway, did you see the papers (Wan Bao & Sin Min) today? It was advertised too. A family of 7, "invested" about $7,000 in the Ichqs pre-paid cards, even after they were involved in the similar situation with Ichqs. Now, I know, there are people who are much more gullible than my mum. Duh……………

Anyway, STOMP publised my email. The article is here

Oh yes, Wan Bao, Sin Min published the Ichqs news too. Not only consumers are "cheated", the employees were badly affected. They were asked to go on a week leave due to "internal audit". Upon returning to the company after the leave, they found out that the door was locked. Not only that, they received a letter from the company, telling them that they are sacked and the company will moved to another address. The staff traced the new location of the company but found that it was only a mailing address.

A copy of the article in My Paper (Wo Bao) >>>> click here.

The “housewife story” continues…..

I sent an email to all the papers in Singapore except for Malay and Tamil papers with the title of Indigoz Exchange Pte Ltd – Back again?

Hi,

Refer to the above subject.

I hereby urge your help to publish this so that the
members of public are well aware of this.
3 years ago, early January 2005,

there were some new articles over
"I-chqs issuer under CAD
probe". I managed to find one of these
articles in a SGCollect.com
Forums,
http://sgcollect.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t36398.html.
Now, it has made a comeback but instead of
issuing "cheques", they issued pre-paid cards.
My mum is one of the
victims. She was introduced to this Ichq
Pre-paid card by one of the
Crystal Jade staff at Jurong Point and
she topped up a couple
of hundreds into this card. The usage of
the card wasstopped a few days before
the Chinese New Year and Crystal
Jade informed my mum that she would be
able to use the card on the 16th February.
On the said day, we went to Crystal Jade
to have our dinner but was told that the usage of the
card was extended to 29 February 2008.
2nd of March, I made a call to Crystal Jade and
was told by the manager that the card is
no longer in use. The staff over at Crystal Jade
Jurong Point had no idea as to what actually
happened; they were merely informed by their
headquarters. All they did to help was to refer
me back to the card issuer, Ichq. That was very not
responsible and professional of them to do that.
(You may refer to this blog posting of mine for
the detailed telephone conversation between me
and the Crystal Jade manager named Wang.
http://www.winnilicious.com/2008/03/02/never-be-a-housewife-tai-tai/)
To no avail, I went to the website, www.ichqs.com
to obtain further details. I was informed
that due tovmerger and restructuring, the usage
of Ichqs card will be put on hold with effect
from 1st March 2008.
1st March 2008, I was still able to locate
a contact number (6838 0568) and address
of the company, which was located at
Suntec. Unfortunately, the line given
(6838 0568) was not working.
Yesterday (2nd March 2008), upon
checking the same website,
the address and telephone number was
gone and it also informed us that they
would be contacting their clients soon.
Today, I was shocked to find this,
"Due to the termination of our telesales
team, a few disgruntled ex-employees may
have contacted you via sms. We apologize
for the inconveniences caused.
" How are they going to contact my mum when
they do not have my mum's contact number?
As there was this saying, "Once bitten, twice shy."
Will history repeats? I seriously do not know
how true the merger and restructure is.
My mum, currently is very disturbed and
upset over the whole issue. Crystal Jade
had denied all liability and my mum,
as the uneducated consumer, has to find her
own way to see if she still has a chance to get
back her hard-earned money. Therefore,
I urge your kind assistance in this matter.
Partly, to help my mum to see if
she can recover her money. Secondly, to
bring awareness to the public about this issue.
If you need further details, you can contact me at
xxxxxxxx or xxxxxxxx.

I can arrange my mum to give you more details as
she is after all, the victim.
Once again, thank you for your time in reading
this message.
We look forward to your call.
Rgds
Winnie Tan

I dislike this kind of morons! Those who are out to
cheat the members of public.
No doubt, I jolly well know that I will not be able to
get back the money.
But for sure, I am not going to let the matter rest.
Be it, if I complaint to
CASE or even Crystal Jade, itself.
I have no fear cos I did nothing of that sort wrong.
I am merely another victim of a real victim!
It's just simply so unfair to me!
Grrrr....................

Looking for this!

I am still looking for this!

Any kind soul knows where can I find it?

*DESPERATE*
